Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the Jurnal Pengolahan Pangan undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific integrity of the published articles. The review process is conducted as follows:

Initial Screening
Each manuscript is first evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief and the editorial team to assess its relevance to the journal’s scope, compliance with author guidelines, and overall quality. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors without external review. -
Double-Blind Review
Manuscripts passing the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers for a double-blind peer review, where both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to ensure an unbiased evaluation. -
Review Criteria
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on several aspects, including:-
Originality and novelty of the research

Scientific accuracy and validity of the methodology

Clarity and coherence of presentation

Relevance to the field of food processing

Contribution to knowledge and practice

Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief will make one of the following decisions:-
Accept the manuscript without revision

Request major revisions and resubmission for further review

Reject the manuscript

Revision Process
Authors are required to respond to reviewers’ comments and make the necessary revisions within the given time frame. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers if needed. -
Final Decision and Publication
The final decision on publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers’ feedback and the quality of the revised manuscript. Accepted manuscripts are then prepared for publication according to the journal’s editorial schedule.
